about me
I am a late identified autistic woman who has been interested in autism long before I knew I was autistic or had neurodivergent children.
Like many others my journey of self-discovery started when my own children began to be identified as neurodivergent and I began to recognize that so was I. I am married to a neurodivergent husband and together we are raising five children, currently aged 13 – 21 years old, who between them have provided us with lived experience of autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), dyspraxia, hypermobility, sensory differences, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), precocious puberty and Triple X Syndrome.
We are also a foster family and have welcomed children into our home who have attachment disorders and complex developmental trauma as well as being neurodivergent.

Our children have accessed their education through a variety of settings including mainstream schools, specialist facilities attached to mainstream schools, specialist schools and home education. I hold a Masters Degree in Autism Studies awarded by Sheffield Hallam University and was very proud when I achieved a distinction.
I have completed professional training courses in attachment disorders, developmental trauma, safeguarding, ADHD and therapeutic parenting amongst others.
I am passionate about being able to support neurodivergent families to thrive in a neurotypical world.
